A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Project Engineer position is located in Robbinsville, NJ, and can be performed on a hybrid basis.
As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Completes scientific and engineering analysis under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
Develops project document deliverable outlines and layouts, technical writing of reports, data interpretation, permits, and development of graphical presentations logically and professionally.
Conduct field inspections, reconnaissance, and field activities per regulatory standards as directed.
Develops and strengthens technical capabilities within a selected area of technical expertise.
Maintains proficiency in field sampling, inspections, data collection, QA/QC of data results, data reporting, synthesis, and analysis.
Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory standards in area of technical background or technical responsibility.
Coordinates with technical staff as necessary
Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met.
Tracks project budget and project hours and utilizes time effectively to complete tasks within assigned timeframe(s).
Communicates with Senior Project Manager when potential issues are foreseen, or potential issues arise that may inhibit performing tasks within the allotted schedule and budget.
Always maintain confidentiality.
Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
Participate in the company’s continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
Perform other duties as assigned.
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
3+ years of relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of environmental compliance and environmental engineering principles
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team player with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to work well in a team-driven environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders.
Ability to travel (<10%)
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment where you handle multiple project assignments and meet deadlines.
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
Complete and maintain HAZWOPER certification with the 40-hour HAZWOPER environmental health and safety class and annual 8-hour refresher classes.
A licensed Professional Engineer preferred or currently has an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and is able to obtain a license within one year of starting.
