Job Duties:

  • Serves as the DWRLF project engineer for DWRLF construction loan drinking water improvement projects across the State.
  • Performs routine on-site construction inspections.
  • Performs independent engineering agency reviews and approvals of routinely submitted bid documents, contract documents, payment requests, and engineering contracts.
  • Performs engineering review and evaluation of System Improvement Plans and Environmental Information Documents submitted by water systems.
  • Performs technical reviews of federal and state funding requirements.
  • Assists the DWRLF Program Engineer and/or Deputy Chief Engineer with updating the strategies and goals of the Louisiana Department of Health’s Capacity Development Program.
  • Performs emergency response duties as directed.

The salary range provided is for an Engineer 5.  This postion may also be filled by an Engineer Intern Applicant or Engineer Intern.
