  • Works within the Louisiana Department of Health Office of Public Health Bureau of Engineering Services (BES) to plan, schedule and perform water sample collection for drinking water contaminants at public water system sources, treatment facilities, and distribution systems
  • Conducts field measurements of residual chlorine concentration, and other water quality parameters in accordance with standard operating procedures. 
  • Tracks, schedules, and conducts re-sampling of incomplete analysis reports and follow-up compliance or investigative sampling for maximum contaminant level detections and/or water complaints within required timeframe.
  • Coordinates and schedules sample collections and analyses with certified laboratories.
  • Provides technical assistance in planning and location of point of collection taps for routine or investigative monitoring purposes. 
  • Assists with emergency response sampling activities as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned
